Best Golfing Memory: Wining the National Golf Club Challenge at Cams Hall Golf Club, with my first under par round. Four over par after the first five holes and finishing with a two under par 69.
Why I played: I supported The National Golf Club Challenge in aid of Help for Heroes, as most people will do to help all those young men and ladies that have been injured in protecting us, making the world a safer place to live in. They need all the help in the world and our money to make there lives a little easier. |

Best Golfing Memory: A tie between shooting my first round under par in our NGCC qualifying event, I shot a 1-under 70 to come T1 (loosing on count back). And winning the Crown Golf Champions of Champions in the men’s net division at Cottesmore G&CC in 2008.
Why I played: I think help the heroes is a wonderful charity that does amazing things to help those wounded in combat. The men and women in the armed forces are risking there lives for us, so anything we can do to help they fully deserve. I can’t think of a more worthy cause. |

Best Golfing Memory: I haven’t had many; I suppose I will have to nominate the time I won my first comp and also got cut for the first time. My car and clubs were stolen in the week when away on business. Two members (Rob Adcock and Cliff Williams) got together to sort out a temporary set to play with the following Sunday. I saw them the first time 17 minutes before tee off, I scored 42 stableford points, it is a funny old game!
Why I played: A great cause and my father was in the Army. |
